Killanena G.a.a. club held its annual general meeting on sunday the 11/1 when over thirty members attended at the clubhouse.
chairman cyril conlon welcomed all the members and in his adress outlinmed areas of pride in the club and also areas of concern.
He said all teams competed well but that at intermediate level the team faded as the year progressed.He felt that there is a certain lack of self- disipline with some players, which has a detrimental effect on team performance.
Secratery Joe Mcnamara presented a detailed and thought provoking report on the club's activities. He outlined in detail the research done in planning the work required to bring the playing surface of the pitch up to standard...He also outlined plans to revamp the clubs lottery tro bring in more funds.
Treasurer John Mcarthur presented a detailed account of the club's income and expenditure for the year with a credit balance at year end.
the meeting decided to progress with the proposed field development, which will entail massive fund raising efforts. The club decided to progress the moves to run the lottery in conjunction with the community council and the underage structure in association with Feakle will continue(since their so useless)
